World Day of Prayer 2020: Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is a country located in Southern Africa between the Limpopo River and the Zambezi River. The capital city of the ‘House of Stones’ is Harare and the country counts approximately 16 million people that speak 16 different official languages. The majority of people know Zimbabwe for one of the prettiest God’s creations; the Victoria Falls, who is considered as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The country itself is majestic, beautiful, and charming, just like people of Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, there are a lot of our brothers and sisters that are living in poverty and they are desperately in need of our help! Too many people turn their heads around and look back away from our brothers and sister from Zimbabwe, and we are here to change that.

The World Day of Prayer 2020 is inspired by the story of how Jesus encountered the person that didn’t take the opportunity of healing that God offered him. Inspiration is in a message that the story of Jesus encounter means a call to act in love for peace and that we should not be afraid to take action based on the word of God. We are truly given an opportunity and tools to make a personal and global transformation. We just need to listen to the word of God, believe, and take actions.

There is no time to waste, no more reason to wait, we need to take action. Let’s share love, help those who are in the need, let’s take care of our future generations, and open up our hearts to God and listen to what he is saying to us. The time for change is NOW!

The World Day of Prayer in 2020 will take place on March 6th. If you want to help, look for the ‘Join us’ section and help us organize this event, or just join us in the prayers!
